On behalf of all faculty, Ms. Cai Huanhuan from the Department of Fundamental Medicine shared her wish for the new students. She hopes the students will focus on learning as the foundation, solidifying their base, and expanding the boundaries of their thinking through the exploration of truth; embrace the collective, broaden themselves, and achieve genuine growth through diverse experiences; and reflect inward, nurture resilience, and generate warm strength through self-care.
Xu Huaiting, a student from Class 1 of Medical Nutrition, Grade 2025, School of Public Health, spoke as a freshman representative. She expressed that in the upcoming college years, she will adjust her mindset and embrace the present; set goals and manage time wisely; recognize shortcomings and strive for improvement; look up to lofty aspirations and act diligently; take diligence as the path and hardship as the boat, drawing strength from the ocean of knowledge.
During the solemn ceremony segment, college leaders pinned the school badge on freshman representatives, imprinting the college spirit of "Respecting People and Professions, Pursuing Excellence and Sincerity" deeply in the hearts of every new student. Subsequently, all freshmen took the admission oath, led by Min Zhuhao, a student from Class 9 of Grade 2024, School of Nursing.
At the military training summary and assessment reporting session, students successively participated in marching formation assessments, battlefield medical emergency bandaging, tactical assessment drills, and military boxing assessment reports. With resolute steps and vigorous, agile movements, they fully demonstrated the uplifting spirit and youthful vitality of SVHC students.
The college journey has now begun. In an era of significant development for vocational education, students of the new era, please bear in mind the earnest exhortation of President Xi Jinping "cherish this great era and become strivers of the new times". With the mindset that "success does not necessarily depend on me" and the historical responsibility that "success will certainly involve me", please write your own brilliant chapters on the new journey of the new era.
