Since the launch of the event, Suzhou Vocational Health College has attached great importance to it. The College Youth League Committee meticulously organized students, recommending participating teams through an on-campus selection competition. Under the careful guidance of their instructors, the participating team, named the "Sunset Health Elderly Care Proposal Team", composed of six students from the School of Public Health—Wang Jingyi, Zhang Jiayi, Chen Ziyi, Zhang Min, Wang Jiajie, and Zhu Changyi—focused on social hot topics, particularly integrating our college's strengths in health and wellness disciplines. They conducted in-depth research and proposed a recommendation on improving health service guarantees for empty-nest and bereaved elderly. The team utilized their spare time to review materials, conduct field visits, analyze data, and repeatedly refine their proposal, striving to ensure it was practical, targeted, and operable, laying a solid foundation for their outstanding achievements. The College Youth League Committee provided comprehensive support to the team, including organization, resource coordination, and mock drills, creating favorable conditions for the students to prepare with peace of mind and focus on improvement. Meanwhile, instructors from the Model CPPCC Club offered care and strong guidance, fully reflecting our college's high emphasis on cultivating students' comprehensive qualities and enhancing practical abilities.
The event attracted 20 proposal teams from 17 vocational colleges across the province, who gathered to compete on the same stage. The proposals presented by various teams covered multiple areas, including "Empowering Cultural Tourism with Vitality for Intangible Heritage", "Building a Pre-hospital Emergency Medical System", and "Construction of Rural Internet of Things Facilities". During the presentation, our students remained calm, confident, and composed. Through solid research data, clear logical analysis, innovative solutions, and excellent on-site presentations, they vividly demonstrated the deep concern and thoughtful engagement of the new generation with national development and social livelihoods, earning high praise from the judges and attending teachers and students.
The outstanding achievements at this Jiangsu Provincial Model CPPCC Proposal Presentation Event are a full affirmation of our college's ideological and political education work and the effectiveness of practical education. They have greatly inspired young students' enthusiasm for participating in political life and serving social development.
