In his address, Mr. Petti MALKKI, Dean of the School of Health and Social Studies at JAMK University of Applied Sciences, expressed his admiration for Suzhou and gratitude to SVHC. He introduced JAMK, which has nearly 10,000 students, with 15% being international students, and partnerships with over 300 institutions worldwide. He emphasized the importance of the collaboration, noting that it is not only an exchange between institutions but also an academic and talent cultivation partnership under the framework of the two countries.

Both sides also introduced their respective development histories, teaching characteristics, and academic achievements, and engaged in in-depth discussions on future areas of cooperation. Mr. Petti MALKKI mentioned that the Chinese delegation visited Finland in 2023, and this return visit by the Finnish delegation signifies that "frequent interactions" will help drive cooperation forward.

During the exchange session, both sides held detailed discussions on collaboration in undergraduate and master's programs in nursing, as well as the YES (Young Envoys Scholarship) student short-term exchange program. They also consulted on cooperation models, language requirements, credit recognition, and implementation details.

This visit by the delegation from the Finnish university not only represents a profound convergence of advanced vocational education concepts from Northern Europe and the practice of vocational education with Chinese characteristics but also serves as an innovative endeavor by educators from both countries to collaboratively cultivate talent. We look forward to building on this exchange as a starting point, working together to cultivate healthcare technical and skilled talents with international competitiveness, and injecting stronger vocational education power into the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
