As the host institution, SVHC established a competition organizing leadership team under the guidance of the Provincial Education Department and the competition committee, supported by five task-specific working groups. Through multiple coordination meetings and meticulous planning aligned with competition guidelines, we ensured comprehensive preparation. The Elderly Care event attracted 36 participants from 18 vocational colleges across the province, while the Rehabilitation Therapy competition featured separate faculty and student categories with 54 competitors from 16 institutions. Both events adopted WorldSkills standards to simulate real-world professional scenarios, emphasizing core theoretical knowledge and practical skills assessment. Participants were comprehensively evaluated across multiple dimensions including skill proficiency, professional competence, practical value, teamwork, and innovative thinking.

During the results announcements on April 12 and 13, the organizing committee highly commended SVHC's high-standard organization and commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency, and impartiality. Special appreciation was extended to competition officials, experts, judges, participants, and the dedicated volunteer team. Our college's teams from the School of Nursing and the School of Clinical Medicine both claimed first prizes in their respective events.

The successful hosting of these competitions marks a significant step in implementing our college's "Double High-Level" Plan and 14th Five-Year Plan objectives, demonstrating our institutional strength and event management capabilities. Moving forward, we will leverage this experience to further integrate competitions with teaching and learning, promote the synergy between "industry needs, curriculum design, skill competitions, and professional certifications," and translate competition outcomes into daily pedagogical practices. By doing so, we aim to cultivate a new generation of healthcare professionals who are rooted in their communities, equipped with practical skills, and dedicated to excellence, thereby contributing to societal well-being.
