The selection aims to pick out projects with focused themes, rich content and distinctive features as the first batch of recommended items on the YES project official website. SHVC focuses on the international exchange of traditional Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medicine. Based on the characteristic elective course "Chinese Treasure--Traditional Chinese Medicine" offered to international students, SHVC continuously optimizes the course content and improves the level of teaching staff. SHVC has launched three exchange programs, including short-term learning programs, international training programs during winter and summer vacations, and short-term exchange programs. The aim is to attract young American envoys who are interested in traditional Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medicine to study in SHVC. Hence more people will have the opportunity to understand and experience the charm of TCM, and a broader platform for dialogue wiil be built for the dissemination of TCM culture.
Expanding international cooperation, disseminating Chinese culture, and enhancing international influence are important parts of SHVC's "high level" construction goals and the "14th Five-Year Plan" development goals. In recent years, SHVC has built the "Wumen Medicine" International Promotion Base relying on the characteristic specialty, and actively launched short-term training programs such as TCM, acupuncture and moxibustion, massage, etc., benefiting more than 500 foreigners, and making new contributions to promoting exchanges and mutual learning among world civilizations and building a community of human health.
